After working in the diesel repair industry for 14 years, Mike Chamberlin decided to put his experience to use and go into business for himself. Initially starting out in Chilliwack as a contractor, Mike saw the demand for skills like his. That’s what led him to found Mountain Pacific Mechanical in 2009.
Thanks to his experience and customer demand, the shop would grow from a small one-bay operation to 34 employees, 17 of which are technicians with a century of experience between them. The shop also possesses three drive-through bays and one bay dedicated to welding and fabrication. Not only does the shop work on all major truck models on today’s roads, but Mountain Pacific Mechanical also possesses a variety of certifications, including City & Guilds certifications, Eaton Fuller Transmission certifications, and several engine certifications.
Additionally, not only does the shop provide a comprehensive range of repairs and services for diesel trucks and fleets, alongside RVs, heavy equipment, and buses, but Mountain Pacific Mechanical also provides a complete range of engine, lighting, and driveline parts from both OEMs and trusted aftermarket suppliers. Despite the shop’s size, Mike has also strived to maintain the feel of a small family business, maintaining close-knit relationships with his employees and giving back to them for all the work they do. This relationship extends to the shop’s clients, where affordable prices, quick turnarounds, and flexible hours of operation put Mountain Pacific Mechanical ahead of the curve compared to their competitors.
