This role is responsible for:
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of commercial transport vehicles.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues to ensure proper functioning.
- Conduct inspections and adhere to industry standards and regulations.
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance tasks performed.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to test mechanical, electrical and electronic problems.
- Troubleshoot systems such as: hydraulic, electrical & mechanical of all equipment and determine faults and extent of repair.
Qualifications & Position Requirements:
- Minimum 1-year experience
- Proven experience as a Commercial Transport Mechanic.
- Possess a valid Commercial Transport Mechanic certification.
- CVIP Class 3 or 1 is an asset
- Strong knowledge and understanding of commercial vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Solid diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.
- A strong commitment to safety protocols.
- Journeyman certification preferred
- Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics, electrical and engine repair
- Strong diagnostic capabilities
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Must provide own tools
